Miss Memorial Day Contestants in the MISS Age Division will now wear a banner to represent their towns. We are excited to have added this component to our Miss Memorial Day Pageant with the addition of titles being given to each of the Miss Contestants. So if you are from Brookwood High School, you would be representing the Brookwood area in the pageant and be competing as Miss Brookwood. If you live in the Hamilton Mill community,you would wear the title of Miss Hamilton Mill during the pageant. Titles will be given out according to the time your application comes in. | Our 2009 Miss Memorial Day Queens prepare for the 2009 Memorial Day celebration. Seen here practicing their face painting and applying tattoos on each they are ready for the celebration. Our Junior Miss Memorial Day, Miss Breonne Rittinger's, "Faces of Freedom" Program designed her program to raise funds during the Dacula Memorial Day Festival. The funds were then used to purchase items for the ADOPTAPLATOON, a national organization that sends care packages filled with special items to our men and women in active military war zones. The 2009 Miss Georgia - Queen of Memorial Day, worked with ADOPTAPLATOON and purchased and packaged the care boxes and sent them on their way. Citizens attending the Dacula Festival were instrumental in her efforts by donating to the cause after getting their faces painted or by having a temporary tattoo for the day! Miss Georgia - Queen of Memorial Day, Miss Teresa Davis, now a freshman at The University of Georgia, was thrilled with the response of the crowds and was honored to be able to purchase and send the care packages abroad. Also, prior to the Memorial Day celebration the Miss Memorial Day Queens encouraged the Dacula citizens to fly their flags for the national holiday and also sent out invitations to citizens in Dacula encouraging them to enjoy the patriotic weekend hosted by the City of Dacula and it's citizens. |

In 2009 the dental office located in the Publix Shopping Center on Hwy 211 across from Chatue Elan was gracious to sponsor our float and was thanked with an beautiful plaque for their office. |
