| For the past seven years, M Models has been supplying girls to the America's Mart during mart week in the spring and in the fall. We work with designers and show rooms to supply them with models that fit their specific needs. During the pageants, I look for specific girls that will be marketable to our clients. They are looking for the following; Height 5'8 to 5'10" Size 4-6 Color All Hair All Age 16-23 Must be able to work the entire show. 3-4 Days beginning on Thursday and running through Saturday and sometimes on Sunday. This means a model will miss school days during Mart Week. I book you the first time and take 25%. If you are good, they will ask you back again and if you book that date or show you keep 100% of the second show pay (not the second day of the first show). If you do not get asked back I will continue to book you until you can book yourself. You are to wear a short black skirt and a white tank or Cami top to the Go-See. A Go-See is when you go to see the client and they take a look at you to see if you are what they are looking for in terms of size and style for their line. You should wear 3 to 4 inch heels, pageant shoes, clear, tan, or black heels. Our girls have been seen in many top magazines and catalogues over the years. You will be trained how to introduce yourself and how to behave on site. The rest is up to you and your talent. If you are interested in pursuing a career in modeling please call Ms. Cynthia at 770 831-0405 While not all girls that enter the Miss Memorial Day Pageants are able to qualify to work with M Models, some girls meet the requirements and are able to begin to work in the Atlanta modeling industry. It is hard work! Standing in 4 inch heels for 9 hours is not fun but the work is exciting and the pay is better than the mall jobs or babysitting. You learn about the fashion industry and become acquainted with the mart in Atlanta. Most girls develop their own sense of style and make friends with designers and showrooms. Some girls go on to sign with top agencies and make good money with print and runway modeling. Past girls that have begun with M Models and have gone on to other agencies such as Click amoung others. Their work has appeared in Cinderella's Closet Annual Book, My Prom, My Bridal, Riva Designs,Casablanca, Mori Lee Bridal,& others. This is open to only to the girls that first must be at least 5'7' in height and an excellent "A" student. |
