         PRINCESS FOR A YEAR

Believing that each young girl has the heart of a true Princess, each entry will
win the title of Miss Memorial Day Princess upon completion of the pageant if
she and her parents following the pageant rules and having excellent pageant
manners. Our new Princesses will be awarded a Princess Sash and an
Princess Trophy and appear in the annual  Dacula Memorial Day Parade.
The Dacula Memorial Day Parade on Memorial Day EACH YEAR. It is the last
Monday in May each year.  We begin at 8m and end around 12 noon.

Your Princess have a "uniform" to wear at the parade. Shirts and tiaras can be
ordered or bought at the pageant to wear. Also red soffee cheer leading
shorts that can be purchased at Kohl's, JoAnna's, or a sporting store.  White
tennis shoes with white socks and any sashes they have won during the
pageant (photogenic, Miss Liberty, Prettiest Smile, Miss American Queen etc)
finish up their uniforms.  Each Princess will lead off the Miss Memorial Day
Parade Group with flags and marching.

Being a Princess allows girls and parents to better understand our beliefs and
goals.  Your Princess will be involved in the day's activities according to their
age level.

MISS AMERICAN QUEEN
Each year we raise funds for the Miss Memorial Day Scholarship Fund, awarded to our
Miss Memorial Day.  As a private pageant we are proud to offer cash awards to help a
worthy young woman to further their education or career goals.  Please consider this
when looking at area pageants to see if the pageant is about pageant profits or helping
young women achieve their goals and teaching young women about patriotic lives.

To date we have awarded over $2000 in college scholarships to our Miss Memorial Day
Queens.  This year we will award a $300 cash scholarship for a 2 or 4 year college to our
Miss  Memorial Day. She may use this scholarship for college or for partial entry fee into
the Miss Georgia USA pageant.
ALL can compete for the Miss American Queen title.  All our contestants can raise funds
for our chosen  Community Service Project: which is building a float to give a military
Salute Parade in Dacula. This year we will be using the funds collected before the
pageant for designing the float and also for the WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT.
This is voluntary. T We hope contestants of all the age groups will work towards this goal.
It is the one contestant that collects the most total funds BEFORE the pageant will win the
title and is sashed. A total of over $100 must be collected to be considered for the title.f
WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
This is an excellent opportunity to teach our girls to work towards worthy efforts that will
improve their community and state through education and community service.  Each
contestant that raised $50 or more will be recognized and awarded a crown during the
pageant.
The Director must be aware is your daughter is raising funds for the charity so she will
have a crown ORDERED AND READY for your daughter! The contestants that raise funds
will receive a crown during her portion of the pageant with recognition for her work.
This year the funds will go towards
the cost of the design and building of the float for the Miss Memorial Day Queens AND
THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT!
THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
The ONE contestant with the most total funds raised for  Military Salute Parade Float will
be awarded the Title of Miss American Queen with sash and large crown for her
dedication towards the program and will attend all function that are age appropriate
