The
| Memorial Day is the day set aside each year to honor our Veterans that have fought for our courtry and helped to make America the strongest nation on Earth. If you were to ask adults, "When is Memorial Day?" few could tell you it is the last Monday in May each year. If you were to ask those under 40 years of age,"What is Memorial Day?" many would tell you it is a 3 day weekend holiday for going to the lake or having a cookout! The Miss Memorial Day Organization teaches their queens about Memorial Day and also our country, our government, and our military through a series of service projects and events. It is our goal to have each of our contestants to learn about their government by supplying real live hands on action events that will develope our girls into good citizens. It is an awesome task.
